On behalf of the entire team at The Grand Hotel, thank you for your patience, loyalty, and support. The past few months have been unlike anything we could imagine. As we enter this next phase, we have developed some long-term strategies which include enhanced service and cleanliness measures, for the increased safety and well-being of our guests and employees. As you begin to travel again, we know that you will understandably have a heightened awareness and expectation of cleanliness when it comes to choosing your hotel accommodations. Please know, that as a member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, we have adopted, implemented, and trained all staff on “Safe Stay” enhanced industry-wide hotel cleaning standards. The program addresses these key areas in our hotels.
Front Desk and Lobby:
-Frequency of sanitizing common areas has been increased to a minimum of hourly, and more frequently during check-in and check-out peak hours.
-New touchless check-in and check-out procedures minimize guest contact with our staff.
-Sanitizing stations are available throughout the hotel's common areas.
-Physical distancing measures have been implemented.
-Best practices signs are posted to remind guests and employees of their obligations to keep themselves and others safe.
Guest Room and Housekeeping:
-Enhanced and thorough cleaning protocols have been implemented in guest rooms.
-Guestrooms sit for 24 hours after check-out, at which time the room, all touch points, and linens are properly cleaned with appropriate disinfecting chemicals.
-To reduce areas of potential cross-contamination, we have removed unnecessary items from our guestrooms, such as bed scarves, decorative pillows, paper notepads, and pens.
Recreational Amenities:
-Fitness centers, pools, and spas are closed until authorized to reopen by health authorities.
Temporary Complimentary Breakfast Options:
Options have been adapted to state and local regulations to prioritize your health and safety, including:
-More ‘Grab & Go' offerings to provide pre-packaged food and beverage options.
-Breakfast rooms closed where required to avoid unnecessary guest congregation.
Hotel Employees and Staff Requirements:
-Hotel staff are required to stay home or go home if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness.
-Employees are subject to pre-shift health screening.
-Employees follow strict guidelines on use of Personal Protective Equipment, hand-washing protocols, and cleaning and disinfecting of workstations.
